Description

Ruth’s Chris Garlic Parmesan Shrimp Skillet is a quick and flavorful one-pan meal that combines succulent shrimp with creamy (plant-based) Parmesan, fragrant garlic, and smoky turkey bacon. Perfect for busy weeknights or impressive weekend dinners, this dish offers rich, layered flavors in under 30 minutes with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale

Shrimp and Meat

  • 1 pound fresh, peeled, and deveined shrimp
  • 4 slices turkey bacon

Sauce and Seasonings

  • 3 tablespoons (plant-based) butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup creamy (plant-based) Parmesan
  • 1 tablespoon vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (natural)
  • 1/2 teaspoon natural gelling agent
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Garnish

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the shrimp and turkey bacon: Lightly season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Cook the turkey bacon in a hot skillet until crispy. Remove and chop into bite-sized pieces for garnish.
  2. Sauté garlic and shrimp: In the same skillet, melt the (plant-based) butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant but not browned. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and curled, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Make the creamy sauce: Lower the heat and stir in creamy (plant-based) Parmesan, vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural), fresh lemon juice (natural), and the natural gelling agent. Mix gently until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.
  4. Combine and finish: Return the crispy turkey bacon pieces to the skillet and toss everything together. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top for freshness and color. Serve immediately with lemon wedges as desired.

Notes

  • Use the freshest shrimp available for best texture and flavor.
  • Cook shrimp just until opaque to avoid toughness.
  • Keep heat moderate when sautéing garlic to prevent burning.
  • Adjust the amount of natural gelling agent for preferred sauce consistency.
  • Prepare all ingredients ahead for an efficient cooking process.
