Perfect as a quick, filling meal with delightful textures and bold flavors, this salad is easy to customize and comes together in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Potstickers

  • 12 frozen or freshly made potstickers

Smoked Turkey Bacon

  • 4 slices smoked turkey bacon

Salad Base

  • 4 cups mixed salad greens (lettuce, spinach, arugula)
  • 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 large carrot, julienne cut
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 green onions (scallions), thinly sliced

Dressing

  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (natural, gluten-free)
  • 1 teaspoon honey (natural)
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger

Garnish

  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
  • Optional: thinly sliced fresh cilantro or basil

Instructions

  1. Cook the Potstickers: Heat a non-stick pan with a light drizzle of oil over medium heat. Cook the potstickers according to package instructions, pan-frying them until golden and crispy on the outside and tender inside. Remove and let them cool slightly.
  2. Prepare the Salad Base: Wash and dry the mixed salad greens thoroughly to keep them crisp. Thinly slice the cucumber, julienne the carrot, chop the red bell pepper, and thinly slice the green onions. Toss all the vegetables gently together in a large bowl.
  3. Crisp the Smoked Turkey Bacon: In the same skillet used for the potstickers, cook the smoked turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels and crumble once cooled into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Whisk the Dressing: In a small bowl, combine apple cider vinegar, toasted sesame oil, soy sauce (natural), honey (natural), and freshly grated ginger. Whisk vigorously until the dressing is well emulsified and fragrant.
  5. Assemble the Salad: Pour the dressing over the salad base and toss gently to coat evenly. Add the crumbled smoked turkey bacon and warm potstickers, folding carefully to combine. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the top. Add optional fresh herbs if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Pat dry the potstickers before cooking to ensure crispiness.
  • Use fresh, crisp vegetables for best texture and flavor.
  • Prepare the dressing in advance to let flavors meld.
  • Warm potstickers before serving to balance warm and cool elements.
  • Lightly toast sesame seeds to enhance their nutty aroma and flavor.
