Instructions
- Prepare the Glaze: In a bowl, whisk together sweet brown sugar, grape juice, natural vegetarian Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth and shiny. Set aside to allow flavors to meld.
- Cook the Smoked Turkey Bacon: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the smoked turkey bacon until crispy. Chop into bite-sized pieces and set aside to cool.
- Combine the Meat Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, gently mix ground beef, ground turkey, cooked bacon, plant-based breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, plant-based egg substitute, spices, herbs, natural vegetarian Worcestershire sauce, and natural gelling agent. Mix just until combined without overworking.
- Shape and Glaze the Meatloaf: Transfer the mixture to a parchment-lined baking tray or lightly greased loaf pan. Shape into an even loaf. Brush half of the prepared sweet brown sugar glaze generously over the top of the meatloaf.
