Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Warm the plant-based milk until comfortably warm to the touch. Stir in the yeast and 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar. Allow the mixture to activate and become frothy, about 5-10 minutes. In a large bowl, combine the flour, remaining granulated sugar, and salt. Slowly add the yeast mixture and vegetable oil, stirring until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.
  2. Knead and Let Rise: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough back into the bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
  3. Prepare the Filling: While the dough rises, mix the softened plant-based butter with brown sugar, cinnamon spice (natural), and vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural) until fully combined and spreadable.
