Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Warm the plant-based milk slightly and dissolve the active dry yeast along with 1 tablespoon of brown sugar. Let sit for 5 to 10 minutes until bubbly. In a large bowl, mix the flour, remaining brown sugar, and salt. Add the softened plant-based butter, apple cider vinegar, vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (natural), and the yeast mixture. Mix until a smooth, elastic dough forms. Cover with a clean towel and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  2. Create the Cinnamon Filling: While the dough rises, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon in a bowl. Stir in the melted plant-based butter until you have a spreadable, gooey filling. Set aside.
  3. Roll Out and Fill the Dough: Once risen, gently punch down the dough and place it on a floured surface. Roll into a 12 by 15 inch rectangle. Evenly spread the cinnamon butter mixture over the surface, covering every inch.
