Description

Easy and customizable Marshmallow Pops made with plant-based marshmallows and natural ingredients. These fluffy, sweet treats are perfect for parties and gifts, offering vibrant colors and flavors with a natural gelling agent for a soft yet firm texture.

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • Plant-Based Marshmallows: 2 cups
  • Pure Cane Sugar: 1 cup
  • Natural Gelling Agent (such as pectin or agar): 1 tablespoon
  • Fruit Juice or Apple Cider Vinegar: 2 tablespoons
  • Vegetarian Worcestershire Sauce (natural): 1 teaspoon

Coating & Decoration

  • Plant-Based Coating (such as vegan chocolate or candy melts): 1 cup, melted
  • Sprinkles (natural) and/or Nuts (optional): 1/3 cup
  • Sturdy Lollipop Sticks: 12 pieces

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marshmallow Mixture: Gently warm the pure cane sugar along with the natural gelling agent in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently until fully dissolved and smooth. Add a splash of fruit juice or apple cider vinegar to enhance the flavor. Carefully combine this warm syrup with the plant-based marshmallows, stirring continuously until the mixture is fully incorporated and smooth.
  2. Shape the Marshmallow Pops: Allow the mixture to cool slightly until it is still pliable. Using your hands or a spoon, form small balls or desired shapes. Insert a lollipop stick securely into each shape to prepare for dipping and handling.
  3. Chill for Firmness: Place the formed marshmallow pops onto a parchment-lined tray. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the natural gelling agent to firm the pops while keeping a tender texture.
  4. Coat and Decorate: Dip each chilled pop into melted plant-based coating. Immediately top with sprinkles or crushed nuts if desired. Stand the pops upright and allow the coating to dry completely.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Present your marshmallow pops directly on a party table or wrap them as charming sweet favors to delight your guests.

Notes

  • Ensure the syrup mixture is warm but not boiling to preserve flavor and prevent burning.
  • Use fresh plant-based marshmallows and natural flavorings for the best taste and texture.
  • Insert sticks before the marshmallows fully set for a firm hold without cracking.
  • Work quickly as marshmallow mixtures set fast; have coatings and toppings ready beforehand.
  • Store marshmallow pops in an airtight container to maintain softness and freshness.
